(update: changed links to point to public article)

I listened to Bob Cancilla’s webcast last week, and read George Farr’s article.
I am confused as to what I need.
I use WDSC 7 that comes with WDS to do native development, JSF web applications, and web services both using the wizards to access RPG and 100% java web services. Also ProgramCall bean wizards. I make extensive use of WTE.
Of the new IDE mix, what do I need to do that same task?

My understanding (unless sombody tells me otherwise) is that if you do Java/Web development you will be required to purchase a full copy of Rational Application Developer. If you need the additional iSeries functionality then you should be able to install RDi or RDB over RAD.
Looks like people will be spending a lot of money or using Eclipse. I would prefer to continue using WDSc (Rational Web Developer) because I really like the integrated app server test environment. I think it will be a hard sell on my part to convince management to spend $4,000 a seat for a development tool they used to get for free (sort of).
