Tired of re-customizing every new workspace you use?
Posted: June 6, 2007 Filed under: Hania Abd-El-Razik, How To, WDSC 4 CommentsIf you usually customize your WDSC workspace (eg. change fonts, re-organize/create new perspectives, etc.) and are finding it a hassle to do this every time you switch to a new one, know that the process can be simplified!
To export your carefully constructed workspace customizations, use the File > Export > Preferences option.
Simply select the Export all option, type in a destination for the preferences file, and click Finish:
Next time you open up a new workspace, use that file to import your preferences (File > Import > Preferences).
Great! That’s always been a pain (please don’t tell me its been available since ver 6!)
It’s actually been available in some form since v5 – but don’t feel to badly, I’m sure we’re not alone in finding out about this only recently ;)
